In Japan, on the third of February people throw beans or peanuts to scare away the evil spirits. But that’s not all. If you want even more good luck you can eat some maki-zushi facing a certain direction. This is called eho-maki.
I’m sure I used to have one of those sushi rolling things but I seem to have lost it so I used this table mat and some glad wrap. Then I went and looked up on the net to find out which way the nori goes … shiny side down apparently. I haven’t made sushi for ages.
